There’s a country song that says, why do you drink, why do you blow smoke, why do you live by the songs that they wrote. It’s a family tradition.
What is tradition? A part of culture that is passed from one person to another person or generation to generation. Think about that.
We live in the United States, the third largest country in the world with the population of more than 325 million.
In addition to Native Americans who were already living on the continent, the population of the United States was built on immigration. A new immigrant moves to the United States every 33 seconds.
The United States is often described as a melting pot in which different cultures from around the world have influence the American culture. They have brought with them their language, their religions, their clothing styles, their food, their arts, their sports and their family’s beliefs.
So how does this influence each and every one of us every day? Some of these beliefs and some of these traditions are positive. Others are not so positive. And so maybe it’s time to really investigate how much of these beliefs and traditions are pertinent to our everyday life as spiritual beings.
As we grow and learn the truth about what we believe in spiritually it might be time to develop new traditions and beliefs.
We reincarnate every lifetime with a new set of eyes and ears so that we may grow and learn and take our civilization to a new level of peace and happiness. We may have to let go of some of our old fashion beliefs and take a step forward to create a new world.
Namaste future visionaries.
