Venus now enters the nurturing sign of Cancer, an appropriate place for the expression of love and affection. It invites those with rocky love relationships to patch things up, and to do so with more heart and less uncertainty. Venus in Cancer encourages our affections and affinities to be carefully placed and nurtured. When attractions occur, they will have a lasting impression and will seem very strong and emotionally sound.

This week Venus in Cancer is trine Neptune in Pisces. This brings nurturing and motherly feminine love right in harmony with intuitive kinds of spiritual expression. Artistic endeavors will shine with spiritual adeptness. This aspect brings calmness and tranquility that are vitally needed, particularly in love related matters. When coming from a place of love, it is easier to draw down a spiritual enhancement of that love with Venus trine Neptune.

Since July 14, Mercury has been retrograde in the sign of Leo, commonly causing communication glitches and confusion when relaying information. Mercury retrograde in Leo has placed a variety of communication mix-ups in the affairs of friends and family and there has frequently been the personal experience that no one is able to comprehend just what it is you’re trying to project. As of Tuesday, we can breathe a greatly needed sigh of relief as Mercury, the planet governing the realms of communication, becomes stationary and will soon begin to move forward. Take note that our faculties and manner of communicating will definitely improve after Tuesday and very soon our communications in general will run more smoothly. This will be a good time to begin clearing up various misunderstandings that occurred over the past few weeks.

The Last Quarter Moon in Taurus on Thursday focuses the general course of our moods on creating some sense of order in our financial situations, and encourages the need for creature comforts and esthetically pleasing or luxurious surroundings. There is often a focus on cleaning up and/or selling various useful artifacts that have collected in our lives. This is a good time to transform one’s atmosphere into a more useful and practical working order. Letting go of attachment to material things that have bogged one down with too much maintenance or disruptive costs may very well be the best move. Certain kinds of sacrifice produce a measure of remedial freedom.

Free Weekly Horoscope for your Sign

(19 March – 19 April)
Element: Fire
Planet: Mars
Symbol: Ram
Stone: Ruby
Aries: For some people, attack is the best form of defense, and as Mars and Saturn join forces in your relationship zone, the chances are high that your interactions with others could be prickly this week. Try to be aware of any feelings of vulnerability and insecurity so that you can guard against going on the offensive. If you want to see progress in a particular relationship, you will first need to take off your suit of armor. If you expect a battle, that is what you’re likely to get but if you expect the best of people, they’re more likely to respond to you in a loving way.
(19 April – 20 May)
Element: Earth
Planet: Venus
Symbol: Bull
Stone: Emerald
Taurus: Change and transformation are in the air this week as a volatile alignment brings about disruption, power struggles and endings of one sort or another. While this could mean the ending of a phase of life, it could also indicate the need to let go of and change a belief or way of being that is no longer doing you any favors. The best way to negotiate the trials that this week is likely to contain would be to approach problems in a creative way. Taurus is a creature of habit and can be rigid or stubborn when it come to life patterns, so you might need to give yourself some gentle encouragement toward change. If there’s something you’re not happy about, be resourceful and change it. If it can’t be changed, then your best policy is to adapt yourself to the situation so that it no longer is a source of tension.
(20 May – 20 June)
Element: Air
Ruling Planet: Mercury
Symbol: Twins
Stone: Aquamarine
Gemini: Mercury turns direct on August 8 and from this point on your life should begin to resume its own forward motion. The past couple of weeks have given you plenty to think about and probably lots to do as well. Hopefully some of those thoughts won’t be left behind, as they may contain the seeds of your future blossoming. As life settles down and you find yourself whizzing through August, try to make time for ideas, plans and dreams that might have materialized recently. While it still might be early, now is the time to be thinking about how you’re going to implement your ideas. Any blockages need to be addressed, as your creative and romantic fulfillment depends on your being able to live more from the heart.
(20 June – 22 July)
Element: Water
Planet: Moon
Symbol: Crab
Stone: Moonstone
Cancer: This week you may find yourself coming up against frustrations and blockages regarding family members or domestic issues. You may feel frustrated with where you are, or you may be feeling a deep sense of unhappiness with what’s going on around you. Actually, if you dig a little deeper you might find that the source of discontent is an inner one simply being mirrored by your nearest and dearest. The truth of it may be that you’re not fully expressing your purpose or you may not be fully realizing your right to exist. The key to your happiness and progress this week is to unlock your heart and unleash the love within on the world. The more you put your heart into what you are doing, the more it will open and the happier you’ll feel wherever you are and whatever you’re doing.
(22 July – 22 August)
Your element: Fire
Your ruling planets: Sun
Symbol: Lion
Your Stone: Peridot
Leo: The great thing about having the Sun in your sign is that it gives you the power, energy, passion and motivation to move forward with life. It also leads to an increase in self-worth and general positivity. Don’t spoil that by allowing yourself to get caught up in negative judgments regarding other people’s behavior or situations in which you find yourself moralizing. There is a danger this week that despite all the positive influences around you at present, you could become the proverbial wet blanket, responding to people and situations in quite a restrictive way. Make the effort to embrace as much as possible other people’s faults. Use the creative power of the Sun to push out into the world with hope and optimism rather than drawing back.
(22 August – 22 September)
Element: Earth
Planet: Mercury
Symbol: Virgin
Stone: Sapphire
Virgo: If you’ve been feeling out of sorts recently, then you should begin to see a turn for the better as of August 8 when your ruling planet Mercury resumes his forward motion. You should at least begin to get back some energy and enthusiasm, thought this won’t fully return until August 23, but there should at least be an improvement. The issue of compromise may present itself this week, and the question to ask yourself might be this: am I compromising myself or my integrity. Are you being squashed into a box or a limiting situation that doesn’t feel right? It may seem as though you don’t have much support; in fact, you might feel quite alone. However, the benefit of this is that you can turn to yourself for the answer you need, perhaps by spending time alone in quiet contemplation or by being determined to follow your own path, regardless. The advice for this week is to be true to your values and to not be afraid of your own company.
(22 September – 22 October)
Element: Air
Planet: Venus
Symbol: Scales
Stone: Opal
Libra: Don’t expect the path of love to run smoothly this week. From upsets in your close relationships to power struggles with family members, other people are highly likely to disrupt your equilibrium which could b e frustrating since all you want is to get on with life and do what you need to do. Maybe that’s part of the problem. Libras are skilled in the art of relationships – at least on the surface. You know how to say or do the right thing when the situation calls for it, but you don’t always know how to confront difficult issues. In fact, your tendency to gloss over issues with a smile and a kiss can leave those close to you wondering how deep your love rally is. If a problem has emerged in an important relationship, it may be because it has been neglected and now is the time to look at ways of healing it. It’s not a time to apportion blame, but rather to see what might have led to such a situation and put your attention toward transforming or resolving it.
(22 October – 21 November)
Element: Water
Planet: Pluto
Symbol: Scorpion
Stone: Topaz
Scorpio: Sometimes we are our own worst enemies, but being able to see that takes honesty and courage. Perhaps there is a situation in your life that you’re not too happy about. Perhaps it’s a source of worry or annoyance. It may be pointless trying to figure out whether someone else is to blame or berating yourself with guilt or regret. Instead of thinking “if only” start being proactive and tackling the problem with your characteristic Scorpion passion and dynamic intensity. When you put your mind to it, you can move mountains. This is one such week when you should aim to do so.
(21 November – 21 December)
Element: Fire
Planet: Jupiter
Symbol: Archer
Stone: Turquoise
Sagittarius: Progress this week will come through a combination of being patient and inventive. It’s unlikely that you’ll be able to make things happen in the way that you want or in the time frame you want, but acknowledging that everything happens when the time is right might help you to relax and let go of the outcomes. Be willing to adapt and adjust if things don’t go according to plan, but they probably won’t looking at this week’s planetary alignments, so if life gives you lemons, make lemonade! There’s always a solution to every problem and always a positive contained within every negative. Your job this week is to be innovative and creative in your response and to make the most of any adverse situations.
(21 December – 19 January)
Element: Earth
Planet: Saturn
Symbol: Goat
Stone: Garnet
Capricorn: As Mars joins forces with Saturn at the top of your chart, your chances of progress and achievement are high, provided you’re prepared to put in the effort – which of course you are, since Capricorns are always willing to put in the effort. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say, “If you’re able to put in the effort,” since your personal life looks rather unstable right now, which could make it very difficult to concentrate on anything else. If it is time to let go of something or someone, then try not to hold on, for the planets are showing that new possibilities will come through your letting go and moving on. Go with any changes knowing that somehow it will work out for you in the long run.
(20 January – 18 February)
Element: Air
Planet: Uranus
Symbol: Water Bearer
Stone: Amethyst
Aquarius: This is the week in which you can expect a breakthrough. What leads you up to this point may be rather stressful, but so long as you can keep focused on what you want to attain you will break through the barriers and adverse conditions. You should emerge from the fray with a precious insight or two, or an awareness that you didn’t have before. The trick is to be mentally adaptable and avoid at all costs a tendency to believe that you’re stuck. It may appear for a while that you are trapped, but this will soon give way to change and positive developments.
(18 February – 19 March)
Element: Water
Planet: Neptune
Symbol: Fish
Stone: Bloodstone
Pisces: Busyness and overdoing things are often compensations for inner fears. So too are addictions, from the bottle of wine to the string of soap operas or reality TV. We keep busy or distracted because if we stopped and allowed the silence to embrace us, who knows what disgruntled voices we might have to listen to. Perhaps there is something you don’t want to hear or look at. If so, distracting yourself through work or pleasure will only delay the inevitable. Be courageous and confront that which you know needs to be brought into the light. Once you’ve released yourself of a heavy psychological burden, not only will you feel lighter and freer, but your health will no doubt improve as well.
