On March 2nd, Venus in Capricorn squares Mars in Libra creating tension and obstacles between the forces of love and the forces of defense. This aspect may bring stress between people in love relationships. The pain of separation or the sorrow of unrequited love may be a symptom of this time, as the rocky boat of romance is due to have some notable ups and downs. On the other hand, the difficulties of these tests may strengthen the power of love and, although it is sometimes very difficult to endure love related conflicts, it is also a necessary process to ensure the authenticity of our love experience.
Saturn represents discipline, responsibility and the tenacity required to get the job done. On Monday, Saturn turns retrograde through July 20th. Saturn turning retrograde will slow down the normal rate of activity so that better methods and strategies can be developed. Saturn rules the physical and psychological supports, structures and armatures in our life. It produces the rules and regulations by which we guide our lives, our sense of responsibility, and our limitations. It allows us to define boundaries for ourselves by saying NO! When Saturn is retrograde, this capacity does not function properly, making us insecure and unable to accurately assess what can realistically be expected in any situation. The most common flaw is the tendency to say YES when we should say NO, especially in activities and relationships ruled by Saturn’s house position. During the period when Saturn is transiting retrograde, it is essential that we go back and assess and solidify commitments made, projects started and responsibilities undertaken in the past. This must be done before we can continue. Saturn transiting retrograde provides the opportunity to reassess what we have taken on, to finally say NO, to back out of a commitment and to improve the organization of a project. While the process is going on, while you are working with what you have at hand, you should be warned against taking on any unnecessary responsibilities or long-range commitments. Only deal with issues from the past; do not take on new ones!
Jupiter has been retrograde since November 7, 2013. Let us now celebrate as the planet representing skill, fortune, luck, wealth, expansion, well-being and joviality turns direct March 6. The process of Jupiter retrograde is sometimes difficult for systems, and for the predictability of economic growth such as business and market control. Jupiter engages one with a sense of happiness and fulfillment. Now that Jupiter goes direct, advancement goes from an internalized process to an externalized process which is how Jupiter operates best.
