I’ve been looking forward to this week for quite some time.
Most people will focus on Wednesday’s Leo Solar Eclipse, and for good reason. Eclipses have a way of getting our attention. Yet what fascinates me just as much is everything that happens before it. One by one, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and the Sun reach out to Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, as though our everyday lives are being drawn into a much larger conversation. The personal and the collective seem to meet all week long.
Sunday begins with Mercury leaving the emotional waters of Cancer and stepping into Leo. Our thoughts become bolder and our voices steadier. We gain the courage to know what is true for us and to speak it with warmth, conviction, and heart.
Monday belongs to Venus. She first forms a beautiful trine to Pluto in Aquarius, inviting honesty and deeper connection. A few hours later she opposes Neptune in Aries, softening the edges with compassion, imagination, and longing. By Tuesday she reaches out to Uranus, reminding us that relationships, beauty, and creativity all flourish when we leave a little room for surprise.
Mars also changes signs on Tuesday, trading Gemini’s busy mind for Cancer’s tender heart. Our attention naturally shifts toward home, family, and the people and places we hold dear.
Mercury, however, becomes the storyteller this week. Opposing Pluto, trining Neptune, sextiling Uranus, later embracing Venus, and finally joining Jupiter, Mercury seems determined to show us something. Wednesday brings the Leo Solar Eclipse at 20°01? Leo.
A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly between the Earth and the Sun, temporarily obscuring its light. Because the Sun and Moon align with the lunar nodes, an ordinary New Moon becomes an eclipse, marking the beginning of a story that often takes months—or even years—to fully unfold.
This eclipse will be visible in totality across Greenland, Iceland, northern Spain, and a small corner of Portugal, while much of Europe, northwestern Africa, and the North Atlantic will witness a partial eclipse.
