Aries Taurus Gemini Cancer Leo Virgo Libra Scorpio Sagittarius Capricorn Aquarius Pisces

This is an interesting week.  We float along rather peacefully for the first few days and then hit a dynamic wall of planetary shifts as planets change signs, Uranus stations retrograde, and a New Moon in fastidious Virgo begins a fresh thirty-day cycle.

Before we get there, I want to explain something about astrology that may help you better understand what I’m talking about each week when I say planets are “having a conversation.”

Every sign contains 30 degrees. As a planet travels through a sign, it moves through those degrees one by one. When two planets reach degrees that connect with one another, whether they’re traveling through the same sign or different signs, they form what astrologers call an aspect.

I tend to think of these aspects as conversations.

When two planets meet at the same degree in the same sign, they’re conjunct, standing shoulder to shoulder and looking toward the same horizon. Their energies mingle and amplify one another.

When planets meet through harmonious aspects, such as a trine or sextile, they can more easily appreciate each other’s point of view. The conversation flows, and one planet may offer something the other can readily use.

A square occurs when two planets are approximately 90° apart. Imagine two people standing at different corners of an intersection, each looking in a different direction and each convinced they have the right of way. There is enough friction to demand action. Squares get things moving.

An opposition occurs when planets are approximately 180° apart, facing one another from opposite sides of the zodiac. Each has a clear view of the other, yet they are experiencing the landscape from completely different perspectives. The work becomes finding a way to hold both.

An inconjunct occurs around 150°, where the planets share very little common ground. It can feel like two people speaking entirely different languages while somehow needing to accomplish the same task.

None of these conversations is inherently good or bad. Some flow easily, while others create enough tension to challenge us, wake us up, or get something moving.

There is another interesting rhythm to watch. Sometimes several planets have traveled into the middle and later degrees of their signs while others are beginning to cross into new signs at the earliest degrees. For a little while, there can simply be fewer exact conversations happening between them.

That is some of what we experience at the beginning of this week. The sky has a little more breathing room before several planets change signs and begin finding one another again from entirely new positions. I rather like these quieter stretches. We get a chance to live our lives and absorb what has already happened before the heavens start talking again.

As the week unfolds, the planetary conversation changes considerably.

Venus leaves her home sign of Libra and enters Scorpio. The goddess of love moves from airy diplomacy into the deep waters of intimacy, loyalty, desire, trust, and shared resources. Venus in Scorpio has little interest in small talk. She wants to know what’s real, what’s underneath, and whether we’re willing to meet one another there.

Mercury also changes signs, leaving discerning Virgo, another of his ruling signs, and entering Libra. Our minds turn toward relationship, fairness, negotiation, and the ability to consider another point of view. After weeks of Virgo examining every detail, Mercury in Libra lifts its eyes from the spreadsheet and notices there is another person sitting across the table.

Then Uranus stations retrograde at 5°41′ Gemini. This catches my attention.

Uranus only entered Gemini earlier this year, beginning a long revolution through the sign associated with communication, information, language, transportation, education, and the ways ideas travel from one person to another. Now Uranus retraces these first few degrees of Gemini until stationing direct at 1°40′ on February 8, 2027.

Do you feel it?

The sheer amount of information coming at us has become almost staggering. AI can answer a question before we’ve fully considered why we’re asking it. Our phones tap us on the shoulder all day long with texts, emails, social media, news alerts, reels, notifications, and tiny bids for connection. Each one asks for a sliver of our attention, yet so few offer the depth or nourishment of an actual conversation.

I sometimes wonder if we’ve become so full of information that we can no longer digest it. There is a kind of mental and spiritual constipation that comes from taking in more and more without enough quiet to absorb any of it.

As Uranus turns retrograde in Gemini, I find myself wondering what happens if we become more discerning about what we allow into our minds. Which conversations nourish us? Which ones leave us scattered? How much information do we actually need? And what might we hear if, every once in a while, we stopped answering all those taps on the shoulder and gave our attention to the person, thought, book, prayer, or moment directly in front of us?

And in the midst of all this movement comes the Virgo New Moon at 18°25′.

New Moons begin a fresh lunar cycle, and Virgo loves a clean slate. Health routines, work, schedules, organization, diet, daily rituals, and the systems that quietly hold our lives together all come up for review.

This feels like beautiful territory for asking a very Virgo question: Does the way I live each day actually support the life I’m trying to create?

After the intensity of eclipse season, I rather like that question.

Saturday brings one more important conversation as Mercury at 3°21′ Libra opposes Neptune at 3°21′ Aries.

Now we can see our astrology lesson playing out in the sky. Mercury and Neptune are standing directly across from one another. Mercury wants to gather information, name things, and understand what is being said, while Neptune speaks through imagination, intuition, dreams, longing, and the places where the edges become a little less distinct.

With facts and intuition sitting across the table from one another, discernment becomes especially important in conversations, agreements, and information that comes our way. Yet Neptune also gives Mercury access to poetry, imagination, symbolism, and the language of dreams, so everything we encounter this weekend may not require a definitive answer.

By the end of the week, the sky looks considerably different than it did when we began. Venus and Mercury have changed signs, Uranus has turned retrograde, and a new lunar cycle is underway. The planetary conversation continues, but everyone has changed seats, giving us an entirely different view of the horizon.

IRL Tip: Description
The IRL tip means how to apply your astrology “In Real Life”.
I hope this clarifies your questions. Merryman

Aries (March 21-April 19) Weekly Horoscope: for Aries & Aries Rising

Your IRL Week:
The beginning of the week has a little more breathing room than we’ve grown accustomed to lately, and after eclipse season, that may feel rather wonderful. Thursday changes the conversation.

The Virgo New Moon falls in your sixth house of health, work, routines, and the systems that keep your everyday life running. This is useful territory for looking at how you actually spend your days. Your body may be asking for a different rhythm, your work could use a better system, or one small change to your schedule may make everything else considerably easier. Virgo loves improvement, especially the kind that works in real life.

Venus moves into Scorpio and your eighth house, deepening conversations around intimacy, trust, shared finances, debts, investments, and what you exchange with another person. Mercury enters Libra and your seventh house of relationships, turning your attention toward partners, clients, agreements, and the art of hearing another point of view.

Uranus stationing retrograde in Gemini activates your third house of communication and information. Pay attention to how much is coming at you. Texts, news, social media, emails, and constant little interruptions can scatter your attention before you realize how much energy you’ve given away. With Mercury opposing Neptune across your relationship axis on Saturday, listen carefully to what another person is actually saying rather than filling in the blanks yourself.

IRL Tip:
Change one daily routine that creates unnecessary friction.

Self-Care Theme:
Protecting your attention.

Kind Deed:
Give someone the gift of a real conversation with your phone out of reach.

Taurus (April 20-May 20) Weekly Horoscope: for Taurus & Taurus Rising

Your IRL Week:
The first part of the week gives you room to simply live your life before Thursday rearranges the planetary seating chart.

The Virgo New Moon lands in your fifth house of creativity, pleasure, romance, children, and the things you do simply because they bring you joy. As a fellow earth sign, Virgo speaks your language. Something you’ve wanted to create, learn, grow, or enjoy may be ready for a fresh beginning. There is also something lovely about remembering that pleasure deserves a place in the structure of your life rather than whatever time happens to be left over.

Your ruler Venus enters Scorpio and your seventh house of partnership. Relationships deepen here. Venus in Scorpio wants intimacy with substance, and the important people in your life may be less interested in polite exchanges and more interested in what is really going on beneath the surface.

Mercury moves into Libra and your sixth house, bringing attention to work, health, schedules, and everyday logistics. Uranus stations retrograde in Gemini in your second house of money, resources, and values, beginning a review of some of the financial or material changes that have emerged since Uranus entered Gemini.

Saturday’s Mercury-Neptune opposition stretches across your sixth and twelfth houses, the axis of activity and retreat. With so many demands competing for attention, your system may simply need quiet. There is information everywhere. Wisdom sometimes arrives when you turn some of it off.

IRL Tip:
Make room in your calendar for something you enjoy simply because you enjoy it.

Self-Care Theme:
Creating space for pleasure and quiet.

Kind Deed:
Give someone your time without multitasking.

Gemini (May 21-June 20) Weekly Horoscope: for Gemini & Gemini Rising

Your IRL Week:
Thursday is especially interesting for you because both your ruling planet Mercury and Uranus, currently traveling through Gemini, are changing the conversation.

The Virgo New Moon falls in your fourth house of home, family, roots, and the foundations of your life. Something here is ready for a reset. You may reorganize your home, rethink a family routine, address a property matter, or simply recognize that the place where you begin and end each day needs to support who you are becoming.

Mercury leaves Virgo and enters Libra, your fifth house of creativity, romance, pleasure, children, and self-expression. Your mind becomes a little less interested in sorting and considerably more interested in creating, connecting, and enjoying itself. Venus enters Scorpio and your sixth house, bringing attention to the relationships, habits, and small pleasures woven into everyday life.

Then Uranus stations retrograde at 5°41′ in your sign.

Do you feel it, Gemini?

Your sign already processes an enormous amount of information, and Uranus has turned the volume up even further. AI, texts, podcasts, social media, news, notifications, group chats, and a thousand tiny bids for your attention can create the strange experience of being connected to everyone while feeling deeply nourished by very little of it. Uranus turning backward through your first house may begin a much more personal examination of your relationship with information and how much of it you actually want living inside your head.

Saturday, your ruler Mercury opposes Neptune across your fifth and eleventh houses. Friends, groups, romance, creativity, and social life may contain mixed signals, idealization, or simply more noise than clarity. Give yourself enough quiet to hear your own thoughts before deciding what any of it means.

IRL Tip:
Turn off a few notifications and notice what happens.

Self-Care Theme:
Mental spaciousness.

Kind Deed:
Skip the quick text and have a real conversation with someone you care about.

Cancer (June 21-July 22) Weekly Horoscope: for Cancer & Cancer Rising

Your IRL Week:
The beginning of the week gives you a little breathing room before Thursday changes the planetary conversation considerably. And with the Moon as your ruler, you may appreciate a few quieter days to simply live your life.

The Virgo New Moon falls in your third house of communication, writing, learning, siblings, neighbors, and the information you take in every day. This feels especially relevant with Uranus stationing retrograde in Gemini. How much information are you consuming, and how much of it actually nourishes you? Your third house is the neighborhood of the mind, and this New Moon is a wonderful time to clear out some mental clutter along with the overflowing inbox.

Venus enters fellow water sign Scorpio and your fifth house of creativity, romance, children, pleasure, and play. This is lovely territory for Venus, bringing depth and desire to the things and people that make your heart happy. Mercury enters Libra and your fourth house, turning conversations toward home, family, property, and the people with whom you share your private life.

Uranus stations retrograde in your twelfth house, stirring the quieter realms of dreams, intuition, the unconscious, and what happens when the outside world finally goes silent. Saturday’s Mercury-Neptune opposition stretches across your fourth and tenth houses, placing home and family across from career and public life. Before assuming you know what someone means or where something is headed, give the situation a little room to reveal itself.

IRL Tip:
Clear one source of mental clutter, digital or otherwise.

Self-Care Theme:
Quiet enough to hear yourself think.

Kind Deed:
Reach out to a sibling, neighbor, or someone close to home who could use a little company.

Leo (July 23-August 22) Weekly Horoscope: for Leo & Leo Rising

Your IRL Week:
After an eclipse season that put you squarely in the middle of the story, the quieter beginning of this week may feel like a welcome change of pace. Thursday turns your attention toward what supports the life you’re creating.

The Virgo New Moon falls in your second house of money, resources, possessions, talents, and values. This is excellent territory for taking a practical look at what comes in, what goes out, and where your resources are actually going. Virgo loves a good accounting, although this is about more than dollars. Your time, energy, skills, and attention are resources too.

Venus moves into Scorpio and your fourth house, drawing you toward home, family, roots, and private life. You may want to feather the nest, spend more time with family, or deepen your relationship with the place you call home. Mercury enters Libra and your third house, bringing more conversation, correspondence, errands, learning, and movement into everyday life.

Uranus stations retrograde in Gemini and your eleventh house of friends, groups, community, and the enormous web of people with whom we now remain connected. This may be an interesting time to notice the difference between having hundreds or thousands of points of contact and having relationships that actually feed you. Every ping, comment, text, and notification is a tiny bid for your attention. How many deserve it?

Saturday’s Mercury-Neptune opposition crosses your communication and belief axis. Information may be plentiful while certainty is harder to find. Give yourself time to distinguish what you know from what you’ve heard, assumed, or simply want to believe.

IRL Tip:
Look at where your money, time, and attention are actually going.

Self-Care Theme:
Investing in what has real value.

Kind Deed:
Give your attention to someone you care about without checking your phone.

Virgo (August 23-September 22) Weekly Horoscope: for Virgo & Virgo Rising

Your IRL Week:
This is your New Moon, Virgo, and after the enormous movements of eclipse season, it brings the story right back to you.

The Sun and Moon meet at 18°25′ in your first house, beginning a fresh cycle around identity, body, appearance, health, and the way you move through the world. Your sign has a reputation for wanting to improve everything, but this New Moon can be simpler than that. Take a look at the systems that make up your actual life. Which ones work? Which ones have become unnecessarily complicated? Which daily choices help you feel more like yourself?

Your ruler Mercury also leaves your sign this week and enters Libra and your second house of money, values, talents, and resources. After weeks of Mercury moving through Virgo with a magnifying glass, your attention shifts toward what all those observations are worth and what you want to do with them.

Venus enters Scorpio and your third house, bringing greater depth to conversations, writing, learning, and your everyday exchanges. You may find yourself craving fewer pleasantries and more meaningful conversations.

Uranus stations retrograde in Gemini at the top of your chart, beginning a review of changes around career, purpose, reputation, and the direction your life is taking. With Gemini associated with information and communication, this may also raise questions about how technology and AI are changing your work. Which tools genuinely help you do something better, and which simply give you one more thing to manage?

Saturday’s Mercury-Neptune opposition crosses your second and eighth houses of personal and shared resources. Money, agreements, debts, investments, or expectations between you and another person deserve clarity. Read what you’re agreeing to and leave room for questions.

The New Moon in your sign feels like a clean sheet of paper. You get to decide what deserves to be written on it.

IRL Tip:
Choose one system in your life and make it simpler.

Self-Care Theme:
Creating routines that actually support you.

Kind Deed:
Help someone organize or simplify something that has been overwhelming them.

Libra (September 23-October 22) Weekly Horoscope: for Libra & Libra Rising

Your IRL Week:
The beginning of the week offers a little breathing room before Thursday changes the planetary conversation, and you are right in the middle of it.

Mercury enters your sign, bringing attention to your voice, ideas, decisions, and the way you communicate with the world. After traveling through your quiet twelfth house, Mercury steps into the light. Something you’ve been thinking about privately may finally be ready to be spoken aloud.

At the same time, your ruler Venus leaves Libra and enters Scorpio and your second house of money, resources, talents, and values. Venus in Scorpio goes deeper. What do you truly value? Where are you investing your time, money, love, and attention? There can also be movement around income or a desire to use one of your talents in a more substantial way.

The Virgo New Moon occurs in your twelfth house, the hidden room of the chart associated with dreams, rest, retreat, spirituality, endings, and the unconscious. This New Moon may be less about doing and more about creating enough quiet to hear what has been trying to reach you beneath the noise.

Uranus stations retrograde in Gemini and your ninth house of beliefs, travel, education, publishing, and the way you understand the wider world. We have access to an astonishing amount of information now, but access and wisdom are two very different things. You may find yourself questioning what you believe, where your information comes from, and which voices deserve a place in your mind.

Saturday Mercury in your sign opposes Neptune in Aries and your seventh house. This is one of those moments when two people can be looking at the same situation and seeing entirely different landscapes. Listen carefully, ask questions, and leave room for what has yet to become clear.

IRL Tip:
Give yourself some time away from everyone else’s opinions.

Self-Care Theme:
Quiet before clarity.

Kind Deed:
Listen to someone without planning your response while they’re still talking.

NEW! Gifts for Libra and Astrology Reports

Scorpio (October 23-November 21) Weekly Horoscope: for Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

Your IRL Week:
The week begins quietly enough, but Thursday brings several shifts that speak directly to you.

Venus enters your sign, and there is something lovely about having the goddess of beauty, pleasure, attraction, and relationship paying you a visit. Venus in Scorpio prefers depth over breadth. You may feel more magnetic, more interested in connection, or simply more inclined to surround yourself with people and things that have substance.

The Virgo New Moon falls in your eleventh house of friendships, groups, community, and future aspirations. This begins a fresh cycle around the people with whom you share your life and the future you’re trying to build. Look around the table. Who nourishes you? Where do you feel a genuine sense of belonging? Which friendships have room for the person you are becoming?

Mercury enters Libra and your twelfth house, moving some of your thinking behind the scenes. You may need more solitude to process what you’re taking in. Uranus stationing retrograde in Gemini activates your eighth house of intimacy, trust, shared resources, debts, investments, and psychological depths. Financial arrangements or deeper agreements with another person may need revisiting over the coming months.

Saturday’s Mercury-Neptune opposition stretches across your twelfth and sixth houses, the axis of retreat and daily life. Your mind may be asking for quiet while the calendar keeps asking for your attention. Give yourself enough space to distinguish genuine intuition from exhaustion or information overload.

There are times when stepping away from the noise allows the most important conversation to finally begin.

IRL Tip:
Notice which friendships leave you nourished rather than depleted.

Self-Care Theme:
Meaningful connection.

Kind Deed:
Reach out to a friend you’ve been thinking about and make time for an actual conversation.

NEW! Gifts for Scorpio and Astrology Reports

Sagittarius (November 22-December 21) Weekly Horoscope: for Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising

Your IRL Week:
The beginning of the week has a little more open space, which may suit you just fine. By Thursday, the sky gets considerably busier and your attention turns toward both career and community.

The Virgo New Moon lands at the top of your chart in your tenth house of career, purpose, reputation, and the work you are known for. This begins a new cycle around your public life. Virgo asks practical questions here. What systems would make your work better? What needs organizing? Where could greater attention to detail support a much larger vision?

Mercury enters Libra and your eleventh house of friends, groups, organizations, and future plans. Conversations with your community can open doors, and this is excellent territory for collaboration and exchanging ideas. Venus enters Scorpio and your twelfth house, drawing some of your social energy inward. You may crave privacy, rest, or time with the people with whom silence is every bit as comfortable as conversation.

Uranus stations retrograde in Gemini and your seventh house of partnership. Since Uranus entered Gemini earlier this year, relationships may have begun changing in unexpected ways. Over the coming months, you may revisit what freedom, communication, and genuine connection mean within your closest partnerships.

Saturday’s Mercury-Neptune opposition stretches across your eleventh and fifth houses, bringing friends, groups, and social networks into conversation with creativity, romance, children, and personal joy. With so many voices and invitations competing for attention, notice which connections actually have substance. Being included everywhere is considerably less interesting than belonging somewhere.

IRL Tip:
Put one practical step behind a professional goal.

Self-Care Theme:
Choosing depth over social noise.

Kind Deed:
Connect two people in your community who would genuinely enjoy knowing one another.

NEW! Gifts for Sagittarius and Astrology Reports

Capricorn (December 22-January 19) Weekly Horoscope: for Capricorn & Capricorn Rising

Your IRL Week:
The beginning of the week gives you a little breathing room before Thursday brings a considerable change in the planetary conversation.

The Virgo New Moon falls in your ninth house of travel, higher education, teaching, publishing, spirituality, and the beliefs through which you make sense of your life. As a fellow earth sign, Virgo wants to do something useful with what you know. A course of study, trip, writing project, teaching opportunity, or spiritual practice may be ready for a fresh beginning. You may also find yourself examining whether something you’ve believed for a long time still holds up under closer inspection.

Venus enters Scorpio and your eleventh house of friends, groups, community, and future aspirations. This brings depth to your friendships and can draw you toward people with whom you share something substantial. Mercury enters Libra and climbs to the top of your chart, bringing conversations, decisions, writing, negotiations, and greater visibility into your professional life.

Uranus stations retrograde in Gemini and your sixth house of work, health, routines, and everyday systems. Since Uranus entered Gemini, technology may have begun changing how you work or organize your days. AI can save an hour and then somehow give us twelve new things to do with it. Over the coming months, pay attention to which tools actually simplify your life and which ones simply create another stream of information demanding your attention.

Saturday’s Mercury-Neptune opposition stretches across your tenth and fourth houses, bringing career and public life into conversation with home, family, and your private world. A professional matter may lack all the information you need just yet, so give it enough room to become clear before drawing conclusions.

IRL Tip:
Examine one piece of technology or routine and ask whether it actually makes your life easier.

Self-Care Theme:
Creating space in your day.

Kind Deed:
Share something you’ve learned with someone who can genuinely use it.

NEW! Gifts for Capricorn and Astrology Reports

Aquarius (January 20-February 18) Weekly Horoscope: for Aquarius & Aquarius Rising

Your IRL Week:
With your modern ruler Uranus stationing retrograde this week, Thursday’s shift may speak especially loudly to you.

The Virgo New Moon falls in your eighth house of shared resources, intimacy, trust, debts, investments, inheritances, and the complicated territory of what we share with other people. This is excellent terrain for getting practical about an agreement, financial obligation, or arrangement that has become unnecessarily complicated. Virgo loves knowing exactly where everything stands.

Mercury enters fellow air sign Libra and your ninth house of travel, teaching, learning, publishing, spirituality, and the wider world. Your mind may be hungry for something substantial to explore. Venus enters Scorpio and your tenth house, bringing attention to career, reputation, visibility, and professional relationships. You may find yourself attracting support or recognition for something you’ve been quietly building.

Then Uranus stations retrograde in Gemini and your fifth house of creativity, romance, children, pleasure, and self-expression. We live in a world where even creativity can become content. A beautiful meal becomes a photograph, a trip becomes a post, and an experience can somehow feel unfinished until we’ve shared it. Uranus turning backward here may raise an interesting question: What do you still do simply because you love doing it?

Saturday’s Mercury-Neptune opposition crosses your ninth and third houses, putting big ideas, beliefs, and the wider world across from the information arriving in everyday life. With so much available to read, watch, listen to, and absorb, give yourself permission to go deeply into one thing rather than skimming the surface of twenty.

IRL Tip:
Do something enjoyable without documenting it.

Self-Care Theme:
Pleasure without an audience.

Kind Deed:
Give someone an experience rather than another thing.

NEW! Gifts for Aquarius and Astrology Reports

Pisces (February 19-March 20) Weekly Horoscope: for Pisces & Pisces Rising

Your IRL Week:
Thursday’s Virgo New Moon occurs directly across the zodiac from you, opening a fresh cycle in your seventh house of partnership, marriage, clients, agreements, and the important people with whom you share your life.

Virgo brings practicality to relationship. What actually works between you and another person? What routines support the relationship? Where could clearer expectations or better communication make life easier? This New Moon can begin a new chapter in an existing partnership or open space for a different kind of connection to develop.

Mercury enters Libra and your eighth house of intimacy, trust, shared finances, debts, investments, and the things that require honest conversation. Venus enters fellow water sign Scorpio and your ninth house, bringing pleasure to travel, learning, spirituality, teaching, and encounters with people or ideas that expand your world.

Uranus stations retrograde in Gemini and your fourth house of home, family, roots, and private life. Since Uranus entered Gemini, something about the way you live or your relationship with home and family may already have begun shifting. Over the coming months, some of those changes may need revisiting.

Saturday brings Mercury in Libra opposite Neptune in your sign. Neptune is your modern ruler, so this conversation deserves your attention. Another person may be saying one thing while you are sensing something else entirely. Your intuition can be extraordinary, Pisces, but intuition and projection occasionally wear remarkably similar outfits. Give conversations enough time and space for the difference to reveal itself.

With so many texts, messages, notifications, opinions, and tiny bids for our attention, this week asks a particularly Piscean question: Which connections actually feed your soul?

IRL Tip:
Have the deeper conversation instead of continuing the text thread.

Self-Care Theme:
Relationships with substance.

Kind Deed:
Sit with someone you love and give them the rare gift of your undivided attention.
