I recently purchased some amazing tourmaline from an Afghanistan vendor. I thought it was a little expensive and wondered why I was so drawn to it. I discovered tourmaline cleanses, purifies and transforms dense energy into a lighter vibration. Wow, Rachel and I were just talking about how to raise your vibration after being in a lower vibration situation and now this guy shows up. I love synchronicity.
Not only is it beautiful with its shiny watermelon and green color, it’s a powerful healer. Watermelon tourmaline is my favorite and is the super activator of the heart chakra. It links us to our higher self and fosters love, tenderness and friendship. This stone instills patience and teaches diplomacy. Alleviating depression and fear, it promotes inner peace and releases old pain.
Its healing properties dissolve resistance to change and regenerate the nerves especially in paralysis. It’s a great stress reliever. It helps promote joy and is great in relationships. It balances the right and left hemispheres of the brain, transmuting negative thought patterns. Its vibration attracts inspiration, compassion, tolerance and prosperity.
There are other colors of tourmaline such as blue, brown, green, pink, yellow, black and blue-green. It can be shiny, opaque, or transparent. It grows usually in long striated or hexagonal shapes. It’s becoming more and more rare, especially in countries like Afghanistan where many of the mines have been closed by war.
Tourmaline is said to have Devic energies and is also extremely beneficial to plants and gardens. It can act as a natural insecticide and when buried in the soil encourages the growth and health of all crops.
Spirit guided us to this special place which centuries earlier was used by ancient people as a ceremonial site. We were guided by Spirit to open the Center at this place which is now the heart of spirituality in Sedona.
