It’s Spring! It’s a time for new beginnings. Maybe your winter has been cold and dreary? But as winter turns to spring, everything that has died is replaced with new life. Your dreams may have been dormant and left for dead, but now it’s Spring time. It’s time for new life, new growth, new beginnings.
In the same way, Spring is not a one-time event. You may not see all the changes right away. It takes time for the buds to grow back and the blossoms to unfold. In the same way the trees trust in the coming rain and the seeds faithfully wait for the melting snow. What is important to remember is that while Spring brings forth new beginnings, its during summer time that our purpose is fulfilled. It takes a full summer for life to mature and reach its full potential.
During Spring it’s easy to look around and say this is enough, especially after a long hard winter. A small voice inside your head may be saying, this is pretty good? Maybe I should just be content with the way things are right now. The problem with that is that you will be settling for good when you can have great.
A little frog was born in the bottom of a well. He was content to swim and play in the water with his family and friends. But one day he noticed the light at the top of the well. He became curious and climbed up to the top. He couldn’t believe his eyes . There was a pond, a thousand times bigger than the well. He ventured further and discovered a huge Lake. Eventually he hopped a long way and came to the ocean. He was shocked and realized how limited his thinking had been. What he had back in the well was just a drop in a bucket compared to what the Universe had planned for him.
There just maybe something else outside your comfort zone. I lived in a beautiful house on a golf course in San Diego. I had a new Cadillac in the garage and a great job. Then one day something told me to go on a spiritual quest. I ended up in Sedona and the Center for the New Age was born. I believe that taking time in nature , somewhere away from your everyday life, will help you discover truths about yourself, which will strengthen your faith and help you find the greatness within you. Seeing and acting on these truths will allow you to fulfill your God given purpose.
Don’t be the little frog. You have got to do your part. Change your mindset. Namaste.
